Public Speaking
Toastmasters is the best way for anyone — whether a working professional, student, stay-at-home parent or retiree — to improve communication and leadership skills. Members overcome the fear of public speaking and learn skills that aid them in becoming more successful. Toastmasters creates better listeners and stronger team members and leaders who can comfortably give and receive constructive evaluation.
At the November WBOC meeting, three toastmasters will share basic information about Toastmasters. Then, the toastmasters will facilitate “Table Topics,” in three smaller group settings, to give everyone a taste of a Toastmaster meeting, help them discover an inner strength and learn more about other WBOC members.
The program’s leading toastmasters:
Sandy Jurkiewicz has been a Toastmaster for nine years. As Membership Manager at CenterState CEO, she meets with members and nonmembers to understand how CenterState CEO can provide value to help achieve their business objectives.
Cindy Mannise has been a Toastmaster for five years. As Sales Diva/New Business Development Manager for ICS, she builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating and closing new business relationships with technology solutions.
Ashley Forshee has been a Toastmaster for two years. As the Director of Development at Syracuse Behavioral Healthcare, she helps raise funds and awareness for people who are recovering from substance use and mental health disorders.
